Without the Specter-2, a Specter-1 group has a one-mission radius. Together, they have unlimited range.
vs. Ovalion
The Ovalion is a 60m disc-class heavy carrier with 800 crew and 120,000-tonne cargo capacity. The Specter-2 is lighter, faster, and more deployable — a forward command ship that operates ahead of the Ovalion's battle group, projecting force and gathering intelligence before the heavy carrier commits.
Doctrine Role
In fleet doctrine, the Specter-2 fills the critical mid-tier: independent patrol, forward reconnaissance, strike coordination, and escort command. One Ovalion with 3 Specter-2s and 18 Specter-1s is a complete self-sustaining battle group capable of projecting force across the entire inner solar system.

The Specter-2 command bridge spans the full forward 30 metres, reinforced with scalar-hardened tourmaline plating and panoramic amber-tinted composite viewports. Holographic star-chart projection, scalar comms array, and full tactical overlay for coordinating Specter-1 strike sorties. Designed for a 12-officer command crew with 360° situational awareness.
The defining difference from Specter-1 — a full crew habitation module spanning the widest section of the hull. Modular bunk configuration for 40–80 personnel with private officer cabins, communal mess, recreation space, and a compact Schumann coherence chamber maintaining crew biofield integrity across multi-week autonomous missions. Designed for long-haul deep space patrol and command operations.
Scaled-down SEG ring array — 6 rings versus the Ovalion's 12 — fed by a compact Gen IV SMR. Self-sustaining above threshold RPM for extended cruise.
