Parasitology 101: successful parasites do not kill their hosts. They extract just enough to survive while keeping the host functional. Even the most aggressive parasites have evolved to maintain host viability.

The host — North American civilisation, human health, human cognition, the biosphere itself — is dying. Not declining. Dying. And the extraction continues at an accelerating rate.

They have removed all three simultaneously. Housing unaffordable. Food poisoned. Hope chemically and educationally suppressed. The only reason uprising hasn't occurred is because the cognitive suppression worked. When it wears off — and it is wearing off — there is no buffer left.
They are not managing the population. They are gambling that the suppression holds long enough that it no longer matters.
